cheerful -- newbury st., boston

I usually don't like hats on women, because it detracts from their most powerful asset (most don't realize this), their hair. However, I was impressed this particular young lady could draw my eye despite her wearing a hat.

It's no doubt this hat added to her cheerfulness.

The easiest way to vamp up, and change every outfit you own is by having a cool hair cut.

from a young age -- newbury st., boston

This family reminded me of my family. Not because of their style, but because from a young age we all started to develop our sense of style.

What initially caught my eye as I passed them, was the mother's bright blue shirt barely popping out of her dark outfit.

Two things caught my eye. The first, her cool grey hoodie on top of her pink head band. The second, the way her left pink glove was fitting her hand; slightly off, as if it were oversized. It said, "I'm confident and without a care."

blue hats -- newbury st., boston

I like the trend of wearing one of these hats as a contrast in style and a splash of color. And, although you see this all the time, it's rare to see a couple wear a matching item; it gave them a nice charm.

time to refresh

A lot of projects, trips, and life events have happened since my last post. It's time to refresh the blog, and get it going with some more constancy.

In the next couple of weeks I hope to be back in full swing!

One thing will change with the blog, the reason why I'm doing it. When starting the blog it was to emulate The Sartorialist, and now I've realized I'm just interested in people that stand out to me on the streets, not new fashion trends. I'm sure there will still be a lot of fashion in the posts, but it won't be the guiding factor.
